Or is there any at all? I'm hoping there will be someone on here who's already in the beta and can perhaps be willing to answer some questions Smile

no lag for me and i've played about 20 games. they turn on and off the dedicated servers for testing so some people do get lag

Only issue I've had has been againts bots on public. For some reason they sometimes won't die no matter how much you blast them and then they turn around and deck you in one.
Other than that though it's been mostly ok although I did get a lot of 'host migration' last night?

The bot issue is also in Gears 2. There are times when you come up and get them with the shotty a few times and they turn around and blow you into pieces. I also hate when you come up behind bots and they should not even know you are coming and they turn around and get you. Hopefully they fix these issues before they the game comes out.

Suffered a bit of lag at times tonight. Nothing game breaking but it was there.

Is 'Public' on host or servers?

Pretty sure the servers were off again at some point last night. Had two games where it felt like against host on Gears 2 so we switched over to horde on Gears 2 instead.

There'll be dedicated servers from Monday onwards? I can imagine huge traffic from the 25th onwards (maybe even me!)

The servers were mostly defintiely on earlier in the week.

I've heard they are off I've heard they are on and I've also heard they turn them on and off at different times to test things out!

I'm sure the released game will have full time dedicated servers

Walked up to a player yesterday and shot him point blank from behind with the gnasher and it didn't kill him.
Still occasional dodgy moments like that but it's certainly an improvement over Gears 2 overall.

Sounds like a big improvement from Gears of War 2 I think you will always get the occasionally moment like you said. Lag will always be a part of it but hopefully no where near as much as the other GOW games.

Just reminds me a few weeks ago when on GOW2 I was shooting this guy point blank about 5 dam times in his face with the Gnasher it was like I was hitting him with a pilllow then I died from one shot.

lag is always going to happen occasionally it depends on the users connection to the dedicated servers

Had a game with so much lag yesterday on ranked that it was funny. Ended up with 3 on my side versus 3 bots on the other. Everyone else quit it was that bad.

Probably being updated or tinkered with. Most games are fine even on Public matches and certainly an improvement on Gears 2.

I'm finding that it's just the odd game that gets laggy and real lagfests like I mentioned above seem quite rare.
