If you would like to start a poll it's real easy to add one to your post.
To add a poll start a new topic, make the post about what the poll will be about, then at the bottom of the post before you click the preview or send button there is a bar that will say Add a poll. Click the little + sign to the far right of the bar and a drop down menu will appear with all the poll options.
Type in the poll question first followed by your answers (up to a maximum of 10 choices) seperated by line breaks.
Example:
What is the best food out of these?
Pizza
Chips
Fish
Lasagne
Etc.
