Onyx Weapon skin

Onyx weapon skins are now animated...so its like Liquid Black Metal in a way, the only part that moves is solid black, just noticed last night after having 2 onyx skins for awhile now >.<

mines been like that since i unlocked it a few weeks ago

got my lancer / Gnasher combo i belive a month or a little less when the game came out, offline at first, was just a gun with no animation, just seen last night its now animated, nice little change

How many kills for Onyx skins? And how did you boost them?

6000 kills are required for an Onyx skin. You can boost them by just setting up a private KOTH match with bots, and setting it to the maximum score per round and maximum rounds per match (personal preference). It goes a lot faster, but it still takes a while to farm them.

thats what i did, didnt have internet at the time so, always did private matches to 15 on KoTH and 240 limit and what not, got onyx lancer/gnasher combo that way. (or LBM as it might be called with its animation).

Tip -

Do not go for the ring, just break it so you dont lose, go around shot gunning or lancering or hammering w/e you want to get your onyx weapon in, and get doing this and you can get around 400 - 500 kills per its quicker then playing online matches, but you get less exp on private, but your playing agaisnt bots and not real people so easier kills i guess.

im gonna add a little tip that i've been using too.

at the start of the match run straight for the ring but dont capture it, that way the enemy bots will run straight into you and you will get first blood ribbon, and theres a medal for obtaining XX amounts of them.

also i've found checkout the best for shotgun boosting and drydock for rifles. but thats just my personal preference, others may think differently

well for me my onyx lancer looks the same

have to look closely when you aim or drop it, you will see it moving like the Liquid Metal or Liquid Green Metal, so its like a Liquid Black Metal weapon skin with its animation, it use to be just a black/blue looking gun, but now its black with a black animation.
