XboxOne or PS4

Well I got really excited over the PS4 reveal last night, so much I registered a new account and preordered.

However today I've sat and thought about it.

Price wise the XBO is better value. You get much more for your money in services and of course the kinect.

PS4 is virtually no different from the PS3, except it's got more power and better graphics.

Sony have actually introduced nothing new, and gotten away with it due to players fear of change.

The limits imposed by MS on preowned sales, really don't effect us that much. It's only if you want to borrow or lend games that it becomes an issue.

The 24 hour check in is a non-issue really. I don't see what all the fuss is over that?

What I see happening is that Sony will hands down win the initial battle. But when developers finally start to realise that the incom from preowned sales can be a huge benefit,. Then the XBO will get many more exclusives, and eventually win the war.

So far pre-order on amazon : XboxOne winning so Xbox might win initial release sales, plus nice little touch by Microsoft by playin on achievement whores need for cheevos and introducing that day one achievement,

I'm still un sure which machine if any ill go for, ps4 is ahead only just for me, not so much anything they have said or done just feel I need a change and the £80 price difference is just too much for my budget, thats 1-2 games plus I'm really not that fused by all the extras Xbox offering, I dont use it on the 360 and won't need nor use it on XboxOne.
all I use my Xbox for is gaming, thats all I want it for. I dont use kinect and dont like the idea of having to use it (I'm a lazy bugger, lol)

I can't see the price of the XBO staying that high though.

I've preordered 2 XBO's from zavvi, which atm are still at the price I initially preordered them at (£399 each)

But I've also preordered the day one release packages from shopto (just incase zavvi put the price up)

Also got 2 PS4's preordered incase I change my mind. lol

I just hope I don't forget to cancel some of them. LOL

I'm not biting on either of these consoles right out of the gate. I've never been a "day-one" must buy kind of guy when it comes to systems anyway, and I've got plenty of unplayed games yet to tackle on my 360....I figure I'll wait until the dust settles and see where I go from there.

ive changed to the otherside about 2 years ago now, i went from PS3 to Xbox 360, dont see myself going to PS4 now.

Been a Xbox fan for years ever since day one, but gotta go with the ps4. Too much bullshit to sift through with the new Xbox One

Im afraid PS4 mite be the choice, xbox 1 needs to change some things, Price is not and issue here as xbox has got more but the lending of games is for me im just not quite sure tbh at the moment, but my friends are thinking of getting a ps4, in the end up il av both

Im working that much now i dnt av the time to play the xbox often as i would like so stick with 360 until sumthing comes out that is worth my wile
Only thing is PlayStation is not my thing so im tore between my love for xbox and having a Standard Games Console in PS4 HELP!!!!!!!

the 24hr gaming lock-out is a weird one, what happens if you go on holiday? or go away for work? do you get locked out completly?

Yeah that's a massive fuck up on Xbox part! But people will see it as a step forward or some bollocks like that too try justify xboxs reason!

i guess they'll be alot of gameraccount transfers for this one :p

Yeah you will get locked out until you sign into xbox live again.

This is a bit of an odd one.

Something else I've heard is that if you sign in too YOUR account a someone else's xbox you get given ONE hour to play ya games!! What?!? Xbox the new joke of gaming consoles! Lol

Nope, not a break! I'll see if I can find the info, it gives you one hour, whether that's an hour after Internet cuts yous off or what I dunno. I'll have a look for the info but angry joe mentions it in his 2nd rant video

The Xbox One does not require an Always Online Connection, but it does require a periodic internet connection. After connecting your console to the internet and logging in to your Xbox Live, you can play a game offline for up to 24 hours on your primary console, or one hour if you are logged on to a separate console. Offline gaming is not possible after these time limits until you re-establish a connection, but you can still watch live TV, Blu-ray and DVD movies offline.
