XB1 Could Be Bundled With a Headset After All [Update: NO]

Update - It's been confirmed to MCV that the listing was in fact a mistake and Microsoft has not altered its plans to not include the new headset from Xbox One console bundles. So you will have to purchase one separately.

Original Story - A listing spotted on Gem, the official UK distributor for Microsoft Studios and Xbox products, suggests that Xbox One may be bundled with an official headset after all, following initial reports stating that wouldn't be the case.

Now it appears that an Xbox One headset won't be a separate purchase as originally thought, if the listing proves to be accurate. There's been no official confirmation from Microsoft as yet, so it could be that the listing is erroneous.

Xbox One is not compatible with Xbox 360 headsets either, although Microsoft is apparently working on an adapter that will enable you to use your existing headset with the console.

According to the listing, Xbox One comes with a 500GB HDD, Blu-ray player, Kinect, an HDMI cable, the new redesigned controller and a headset for $499/£429.

Well that's good...it would be pretty silly for them not to bundle it with the console...

Did you read the update?! Microsoft saying they won't be putting the headset in the bundle now, lol. Altho I read somewhere that you MIGHT be able to use your 360 headsets on the Xbone! Which I think they should because a lot of people have bought those gaming headsets and be gutted if you couldn't use them on the Xbone, esp coz some of them cost over £50 even £100.

Obviously I misread the update....as such, what a crock of shit! Laughing
