Lambent Locusts

What do we know about the Lambent Locust?

From everything I've seen read they are an enemy to both the COG and Locust. All Lambent locusts explode after being killed kind of like a Ticker. Although I remember in the first Gears of War there where Lambent Wretches but they only attacked the COG.

In this Gears of War 3 I've seen images and videos and read in places about all kinds of Lambent Locusts who attack both sides.

I think there will be a big twist in this third game as someone else mentioned in another post there could be a joining of COG and Locust to defeat the Lambent!

Anyone got any more info on the Lambent Locusts?

scenario:

you running through a deserted street and then the locust appear you fight them for a couple of minutes as they keep coming at you, then boom lambent come crawling out of the woodwork and now you have a complete warzone to fight off two enemies its going to be insane

i think ill kill lambet before locusts.. since locusts seem to wanna kill the lambet as much as you do

for me .. gonna kill them fast and fast .. specially lambet first them locust .

Frag tag locusts and throw them towards the lambent locusts for good fun

when they come up close they boom they hurt me in return

hahaha i hate and like them hate them because their a real bother but awesome to explode next to enemies

ONTOPIC: lambet locust would be sweet to use on beast mode

No sign of Lambent Locusts in the Beta, which tells me it's gonna be a campaign only thing. I think they will only appear in the story and probably not even in the Horde and Beast modes.

Just speculation of course, though it would be sweet to see or play as them in the multiplayer

im pretty sure their only in campaign thats what my first thought

they are in horde and campaign but dont know about beast mode also, why do they have weird eyes?

they are unpure locust's or alienated when i see them im like

I hate exploding enemies.
