mad world

i've had this discussion with several people over the course of the 8 or 9 months since release.

i maintain that mad world (although is a decent enough song) doesnt work within gears 3, i think they could have chosen a much better, and much more appropriate song.

what do others think?

i kinda do know it, i hardly concentrate on musics in the game, unless its mid-battle, then its ok

I think the use on gridlock fits perfectly....it's extra chilling with the "ash people" everywhere....

I agree with Griz, and the EE that you have to do to get it to play fits it too. So i say it fits just fine where it is, anywhere else it would probably not work

I voted yes purely for Gridlock. Mad world belongs to the first Gears of War and that's where Gridlock came from. It was nice they included it with the map in Gears 3 but yea that's the only place it belongs in Gears 3. Anywhere else just wouldn't fit/would be out of date.

As I recall, you can only hear "Mad World" through the map Gridlock and when Dom dies. I think it fits where it's present.
