| The biggest publisher in the games industry has posted fourth quarter earnings of $1.77 billion, on the back of strong performances from both Skylanders and Call of Duty. The numbers are well ahead of Activision’s expectations. The publisher had predicted earnings of $1.49 billion, with last year’s fourth quarter takings coming in at $1.41 billion. In terms of revenue, the numbers are up $100 million year-on-year to $4.86 billion. Skylanders and Call of Duty are responsible for the upswing. Indeed, Skylanders has sold over 100 million toy figures, to register lifetime sales of over a billion dollars as of December 3st. So yeah, they’re kinda rich. "We are very pleased to report that Activision Blizzard delivered the best performance in its history," said Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick while riding his diamond encrusted horse.
