Inactivity.

I've been noticing the forums have become really inactive. We need to pick it up a notch as a community or new people will leave due to boredum. I'm sure we all have personal issues and lives but please take 5 minutes to post something about Gears of War 3.. I don't want this community to die.

I'm mostly on at the night, It been hard for me to post since i'm on mostly on my phone. Also, Like losthalo and Ninja know,I've been on vacation. All we need is some interesting threads and it will be more active. We are trying our best to promote this site.

I know your trying. But we have to keep up the activity or you my as well forget about new members. They will leave if they think the forums are dead.. I've came back here for the last 4 days and their is nothing new. I understand what I takes to run a forums and community.. I owned a RSPS (RuneScape Private Server) and ran a forums with it. It's a lot of work, but if the inactivity starts going down got to do something to step it up. Not sure what that is, but I'm sure we can think of something. Brain storm ideas here then start making a shit load of topics.

I am simply trying to motivate lol.

I'm sure once GoW3 releases and we have our party things will start to pick up again. :p

Lets get some ideas and I will past them to Ninja, I will give you credit for the ideas of course lol

we need news bots they post news stories about whatever it is it's about that sounds like a nice idea

We need something thats for sure. Maybe you should post up some arcade games on the forums or somethign.

Giveaways are cool but that might get expensive. Every just needs to start advertising. Facebook, YouTube, Yahoo, and any other social site were involved in. That's how you make this shit grow. Even signing up on Gears of War forums.. I'll do that for us. I'll leave a post letting people know.

Inactivity was expected. It was actually expected sooner than now. The forums get a lot of traffic and it is well promoted. We are number 2 in most of the major search engines (can't seem to better Epic at the number 1 slot). There are other Gears of War 3 communities some smaller than this and some bigger. They are all inactive. The Beta helped to spawn new communities giving plenty to discuss and debate over but all that could of been said as pretty much already been said. There is plenty to view, watch and read on these forums and it's only expected to become active just before release. There isn't much news or developments in Gears of War 3 to post about it's simply a case of waiting for the game to come out and then this community can be re-born and grow from there.

I'm sorry to be negative guys but that's just the way it is and it was expected. I was hoping to hit 200 members and 5k posts before release those figures would show a healthy community and encourage others to get involved.

If you want to promote this place the best and most effective way is to message recent players on Gears of War 2 about it. Any other suggestion as pretty much already been suggested.

For sure this place isn't dead, it's just waiting the release of Gears of War 3. Be patient, visit often and post occasionally, try to spread the word here and there. There's plenty of time

Indeed. Gears of War 3 has a big hype.. When the game releases, and if the hype stays big they will be looking for sites where they learn all they can about the game. We've prepared ourselves hopefully it's enough. We just need the members to keep on posting.
