The Beta so far

Has anyone had the chance to play beta so far? If so, what are your thoughts?

How's the weapons? New and returning weapons? I've heard the sawed-off shotgun is like a melee weapon in that it doesn't cause any damage if you are 2 feet or more away you have to be really close to the opponent for it to hit and if you miss at that close range it's a 5 second reload with a godd chance of jamming the weapon if you miss the tiny active reload line!

That would suck, I think I will be sticking to the gnasher if that is the case.

that sawed-off will come in handy when your the only person alive on the team against 4 guys, staying in cover till they are close then blow them up, got the perfect combo for whenever im the only one left, gnasher and sawed off.

The sawed off is very effective at close range but is a waste of space at all other times.
If you miss with it then you're dead.

so a hint would be to equip shotgun on appropriate times?

exactly, gotta time the shot at close range and has a wide area so close quarter is a 95% chance youll get the kill or kills

i've been excellent with shotguns xD i've never had trouble with them

That does sound like a good combo. Also good advice for using the sawed off shotgun. How is the retro lancer?

The 'Sawed Off' is now my pet hate. It has basically removed any chance of having a shotgun duel. Stupidy overpowered.

Have now changed my mind somewhat about the sawed off. Very easy to kill someone weilding it.
At the range that the sawed off is effective you may as well use the gnasher and picking off people reloading the sawed off is great fun as they run around like headless chickens waiting for the reload.
