| From their Facebook page....
"Constantly impressed by the passion of our community. We hear your feedback on the Retro Lancer. Stay tuned. :>"
Was the Retro really that bad? To be honest I didn't use it that much, it seems that it's just the Gnasher users that got pissed with it, as it was the perfect counter weapon.
Your thoughts? | |

| Loved the retro before it got nerfed to appease the 'Vets'. In the Beta and early days of the mp you could stop an elephant with it. Any roadie running gnasher user was easy meat if they just ran straight at you and they really didn't like that The charge was an hilarious move to pull off as well | |

| Yeah love the charge, it's the second best teabag move in the game next to the extended pummel. | |

| I don't like the retro lancer because not only is it a very easy way to get kills, but the gun isn't very balanced, along with all the other ones in my opinion.
The way the weapons are supposed to work is Hammerburst is the long/mid rifle, Retro is a Close/Mid rifle, and the Lancer is supposed to be a balance of both.
However the retro lancer doesn't have a damage drop at a distance, and after a few minutes of practicing, anyone can get downs from across the map with it.
The same issue is present with the Hammerburst because its stopping power applies at any range, meaning it is just as effective in close quarters as it is in long range.
I personally don't want to see either removed, but I would like to see Gears go back to default loadouts, so that the rifles can go back to being power weapons on the map that you have to control. That way the retro can be as powerful as it was in the beta, but not have the issue of a full team running around with them. | |

| I hate the Retro in Gears 3 it's almost impossible to counter it but it's also a great feeling to counter a Retro user. | |
