I'm hearing some SCARY things about GOW:J

The SOS is not a loadout weapon anymore. So you'll have to pick it up, so it's no more of an advantage than a boomshot or incenitary grenades.

Oh and i believe there is horde mode from some of the videos i've seen. And the SOS still does not make sense to me how they could change it so drastically in a prequal. It fired both shots at once in 3, why does it have to be seperate in Judgement?

Yeah, let me find some links and i'll post them up on here.

Oh and the SOS needs 2 shots as having just one still wouldn't put it on par with the Boomshot etc.

Only thing i could find was a old E312 Interview and the new "horde mode" or as close as we are going to get for now unless horde mode is still in the game is called Overrun, and its pretty much just horde mode with people playing as the locust too. Then i say they should have just made it avalible as a alternative to the Gnasher like they did in 3 and kept it one shot. I hate it when games change stuff completely in prequals.... But it isin't really Epic anymore and i've never heard of the new company so idk.

Just because a NEW developer is putting their own spin on the game to make it THIERS does not mean they are making it like every other shooter around, Change of controls can only mean a good thing in my eyes, The reason CoD and Battlefield never change their controls is because it works for the fast paced action in multiplayer... gears didn't. The D-pad wasn't the best option for the way the new gears is going.

Also the fact GEARS was pretty much broke the bench mark for shooters by the way you viewed the characters and cover system and pretty much everything else that makes gears amazing means it can never be put in the same catagory as a cod game

As for them putting the SOS a 2 shot in a prequel is easily answered.... They did it in gears 3 and noone questioned it, they introduced a new weapon (retro-lancer) by saying it was an old gun yet we never saw it at all in gears 1 or 2. so to answer your question they can get away with it by saying the SOS was originally a 2 shot weapon until baird, for argument sake, came up with it being better to fire both shots in one go....

regardless of the things said above and some people being scared cause such things is sad, i got my hands on GoW last night i do have to say wow nice job on the game yes some things might be different but what game dosent change things to keep most of their gamers happy, i been having lot's of fun with it and i have barely noticed anything i don't like and i played all 3 previous games

Yeah no Locust in versus is a real let down.

No locust in versus is the only let down to what looks and sounds like an amazing game, so excited.

I'm not having much problems with the multiplayer. In-fact, I think it makes the game feel kind of fresh in a way.
