As suspected, Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep won't be the last Borderlands 2 DLC, and the next campaign pack won't be quite what you're expecting either it seems. During its PAX Australia Panel, Gearbox announced the fifth story expansion for Borderlands 2, as well as a second Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack.
The Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 2 will bring a further 11 levels to the current level cap, making it possible to reach level 72, and a new Digistruct Peak Challenge. You'll also be able to 'over level' using the pack to make things tougher for seasoned Vault Hunters. Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford said that the pack will be out sometime before October 31st this year, will be separate to the Season Pass, won't require any other DLC to play and will cost $5.
A free update is also on the cards, increasing maximum ammo storage for players, as well as available bank slots and inventory capacity. Eridium will be used to purchase the new upgrades in-game, so you can finally put the purple substance to good use, if like us you've got loads of the stuff to spare.
Last, but definitely by no means least, the fifth campaign expansion will be called T.K Baha's Bloody Harvest, and will include throwbacks to the first Borderlands' Zombie Island of Dr. Ned DLC. You'll even fight another huge pumpkin monster called Jacques O’Lantern. It's fairly safe to assume this won't be included with the Season Pass either.
And if you're worried that you might not get to visit the Hyperion moon base in Borderlands 2 anytime soon, fret not. Pitchford says that the team is planning to release one or two more DLC packs in the future.
