Advanced Tips and Tricks

Yo aint been on in a long time so dunno if this been covered before but thought be interesting to put together a list of advanced strats / moves etc. Just to see if there is anything i am missing or can pass on to the forum.

1. Use Your Ears! Very important to listen out for people trying to sneak up on you, or simply approaching your posistion. Can also be very useful when deciding when to attack or hold ground without any visual cues.

2. One Hot Bullet! Played a very gd player the other day (KD 3. every battle i had against him at the start of the duel he seemed to get off a hard aim hot bullet shot at 4-5metrs approx. and almost all health was gone. Trying to implement it myself as if ya get that off will make battles against skilled players/wallbouncers easier as can rely on blindfire to finish job.

3. Wallbounce! Im not a big fan of this but simply snapping into a piece of cover at least once in a duel can really throw opponents aim off. Once got the hang of gears its worth learning to do.

4. Spot opponents! Hardly used by many players its hard to think of why this isnt useful. Can stop a team mate running into an ambush. When chasing opponent can make sure he isnt stopping around the nxt corner with his shotgun possibly ready for you. I love spotting if hes throwing smoke, can see if hes charging in after and target him if can shoot.

Most def target those bastards ha. I'm not the best player but I have a blast and have saved alot of people's asses in King of the hill simply by targeting enemies rushing us. One thing I hate is when I'm playing King of the hill and the enemies are all together strategically picking us off and all my teamates are worried about little skirmishes between their spawn point and the ring. It may be because they are more worried about kills and whatnot...but they aren't going to get them when they get caught alone single handedly trying to take on three enemies who are basically just using us being scattered as an advantage. I tend to let off a couple of rounds at the enemy, let him do his thing (usually charge at me with a shotgun) and just make a run for it towards the ring which is usually either empty or only has one or two enemies because the other ones are out picking us off. But if we were to switch our strategy and just take the whole team towards the ring forgetting about the guys trying to pick fights on the way we could easily take the ring and hold the position. That's enough rambling...again, I'm not great at Gears of War and I'm best at King of the Hill but we never get to shine because of lack of cooperation.
