For any1 who doesn't know how to get this achievement or use guides, or read descriptions: To get the Gold camo for the sawed-off shotgun in Gears of War 3, you must have the Commando achievement from Gears of War (1)
To get the Commando achievement in Gears of War (1) you have to beat the campaign on Insane difficulty.

can it be multi or does it HAS to be solo?
