A good read and valid points but gears may die in competitive gaming buti for one don't care .... I as well as others I am sure will stick with gears its a cult game the majority of players love that unlike some other shooters we have a rich and deep background story that still holds mystery. A collection of online gear heads that time and time again play gears over and over and that's what makes it a great game mod halo etc you play till the new one then forget it and the older ones ... True gears players play all three every now and then I recently played gears one again... Can't remember last time I played halo one or even thefirt call of duty so in a competitive sense gears will lose out as other shooters always update ... Like any major sport things change all the time rules players trade etc ... Gears sticks to the same formula and doesn't get boring so if it should die as a competitve game... Oh well I will still play it over other shooters.... Because true gears are loyal much like the in game gears we know and love.
